MY STORY

Welcome to my website

A many years ago I started buying vintage second hand silk kimono's and obi's from Japan, without much thought as to what I would do with them. These beautiful clothes were to nice to keep stored away so after a discussion with a close friend I decided to recycle them into gifts and accessories. So this is where my story started.

From then on I have made many things for family, friends and to give away as gifts.

One of the things that attracts me to using these beautiful fabrics is knowing that these  where worn by Japanese ladies in 20th Century and now they have a new lease of life in 21st Century. I also have a love of all things Japanese and was lucky enough to take a trip there in 2010, it was even better than I expected and long to go back again.

Back in 2015 I opened a shop on Etsy and its been a wonderful experience with such lovely customers. Its been quite touching reading the reviews left by my customers and seeing some of there makes.

The last couple of years I have expanded the range with fabric and kimono accessories  like Obijimes and Haori jackets. All have been very popular especially the fabric.

With the changes from climate change recycling has never been so important, we should all do our best to recycle our clothes, something the Japanese have been doing for many years.

This year I am pleased to announce the opening of my new shop on my website.... lets hope its as successful as my Etsy one.

I hope like my store and consider a purchase or two as these beautiful garments make lovely gifts or for that special person...... You!
