Japanese Furisode kimono fabric from a used silk kimono which I have unpicked/deconstructed for recycling purposes.

🌸A furisode (振袖) is a type of formal Japanese kimono characterized by its exceptionally long, "swinging" sleeves, worn primarily by young, unmarried women for significant occasions like Coming-of-Age Day (Seijin no Hi) and weddings, symbolizing youth and grace.

Details:
Fabric: Silk - Light weight with slight sheen and a nice drape to it.

Colour: Orange, black, white, gold, blue, green and brown.

Condition: Used - Very good condition for a used fabric.

Technique: Dyed.

Design: Traditional patterns of Kanoko dot and shippo with the occasional cart of flowers.

Age: Vintage.

Origin: Japan.

Lengths: 50 cm, 100 cm or 150 cm

Width: 36 cm
Weight: 35 g (50 cm).
