Japanese kimono fabric from a used silk kimono which I have unpicked/deconstructed for recycling purposes.

Details:
Fabric: Silk - Light to medium weight Tsumugi.
Colour: Blue and white.
Condition: Very good condition for a used fabric. 
Technique : Woven Tsumugi and Dyed.
Tsumugi (紬) is a traditional woven silk fabric from Japan. It is woven from short-staple silk fibre (as opposed to material produced using longer, filament silk fibres). This gives more of a handmade feel with  the irregular size fibres/threads.
Design: Rectangles shapes laid out in a box pattern. The rectangles give the impression they have been draw in chalk.
Age: Vintage.
Origin: Japan.
