Japanese obi fabric from a used obi which I have unpicked/deconstructed for recycling purposes.
 
Each piece is made up of patterned fabric and lining fabric on the back. The interfacing/stiffener has been removed to reduce the weight for postage. The pattern fabric is attached to the lining by two seams down the sides so you could remove the back and use for another project. Both or one end will be cut so will have a raw edge.
 
Details:
Fabric: Used - Silk and metallic thread.
Colour: Black, gold, silver and deep dark pinky red - some of the photo's the colour is lighter than it actually is for the pinky red.
Condition: Very good condition on both sides. 
Design: Ornate with traditional Japanese pattern of Kikkō (Tortoiseshell) and floral inserts.
Lining: Jet black mainly silk but may also have synthetic thread as the back feels different to the front of the lining.
Obi type: Fabric from a Fukuro Obi.
Age: Unknown.
Origin: Japan.
